Good Morning!

 This morning was so inspiring because out of a potentially irritating situation, I found something amazing.

I was awakened early this morning by my daughter who needed prayer for an ear ache.  After we prayed I settled in to catch my last few snoozes of the day and I heard a most irritating noise.  It was a cricket.  Singing to his heart's content...or scratching his legs either one....but it was LOUD.

I have noticed this cricket all week.  The noise is incredibly loud.  I had investigated earlier and discovered that it was not in my room.  I don't mind insects as long as they respect my place and they keep to themselves.

So, I knew it was outside and as I laid in bed my eyes almost closing I was slightly irritated by the noise until I heard God whispering to me...He is having a concert to honor me.

For a moment I felt bad then I became inspired.  I could see Mr. Cricket preparing his best outfit, planning out his best concert possible and then chirping to his heart's content to God.  His way of honoring God was an inconvenience to me until I imagined him giving it his all.  Being in the zone and loving God with all his heart.

You may say I have an overactive imagination....but isn't it amazing how God uses simple things in our lives to speak to us?  I am grateful for this lesson.

Shortly after I fell asleep imagining him enjoy every second of his early morning routine.  Pretty soon it seemed as if he had called all this cricket buddies to join in because the concert had innundated my bedroom.  But I smiled as I realize...God is honorable and deserves all the honor and the glory.   September 4, 2012    by Leticia Zarate
